The company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 12th
 March, 1984 under the name of Jawahar Steel & Alloys Pvt. Ltd., in
 the state of Maharashtra.  It was originally promoted by Shri
 N.S.Desai and Shri A.C.Parekh.  Later Shri G.D.Singhi took over this
 company as a sick unit in the year 1990 with the approval of SICOM. 
 It was converted into a Public Limited Company on 06.09.91 and the
 name was changed to AVS Industries Ltd., on 08.10.91.
 
 The company is presently engaged in the manufacturing of ERW Black
 Tubes & Pipes at Village Vikramgadh, Taluk:Jawhar, District:Thane, in
 the state of Maharastra with an installed capacity of 10,000 MT per
 annum.  The company in association with Mr.Awlad Al Nasser and  Mr.
 K.K. Agarwal and Indian Products Trade Company Pvt. Ltd., has
 participated in a joint venture at Abu Dhabi (U.A.E) and towards its
 share has invested UAE Dhirams 450,000  (450 shares of U.A.E Dihrams
 1,000 each equivalent to Indian Rs.31.73 lakhs in Company).  The
 company's equity in this joint venture is engaged in manufacture of
 torsteel mainly of 8/10/12/6 MM dia (steel ingots, billets and rolled
 products). The joint  venture has already started commercial
 production.
