Company History - Ventron Polymers
Ventron Polymers Limited was incorporated on 15th June, 1993 in the
State of Maharashtra as Public Limited Company under the Companies
Act, 1956 with its Registered Office at Bombay and obtained
Certificate of Commencement of Business on 2nd July, 1993.

The Company proposes to set up a project to manufacture cable filling
compounds for normal and optical fibre cable with absorbing properties
in technical collaboration with CHEMISCHE FABRIK STOCKHAUSEN GMBH,
Germany. The products to be manufactured are 5400 TPA of Normal
Jelly, 1080 TPA of Synthetic Jelly, 450 TPA of Jelly for Optical
 Fibres, 450
 TPA of Splicing Compounds.

Though the Company was incorporated during June 1993, the project
could not be implemented immediately. The Company earlier identified
the location at Ankleshwar but later on decided to set up the project
at Silvassa to avail various tax benefits offered by the Government.
The Company prepared the project report and approached financial
institutions for term loan. Simultaneously, the company identified
the collaborators and finalised the tieup for collaboration.
Subsequently, appointment of key personnel was finalised and steps
were taken for various infrastructure facilities. The project is
 expected to be
implemented as per the schedule mentioned elsewhere in the
 prospectus.

The products proposed to be manufactured by the Company falls under
the Category of SPECIALITY CHEMICAL INDUSTRY. The growth in the
telecom sector industry due to massive installation of communication
network throughout the country also helps technology oriented growth
of telephone cables (jelly filled and optic fibres) industry,
 throughout
the country. There are 14 telephone cable manufacturers and 4 optical
fibre manufacturers in the country. With recent liberalisation policy
and economic reforms, Government has also declared its new telecom
policy, according to which Department of Telecommunication (DOT) is
centrallised further into local units, encouragement to private
 sector
in both distribution and installation of telecom network. At present
there are no manufacturers of the filling compound with the similar
properties which the Company proposes to manufacture, and hence in
near future Company does not foresee any competition from other
 Companies.
