YEAR EVENTS
1983 - The Company was incorporated on 19th July, as a private
limited
company and was subsequently converted into a public limited
company on 21st May, 1994 in Maharashtra. The Company
implemented a 100 TPD mini cement plant based on VSK
technology
in Azmera, Madhya Pradesh.
- The Company was promoted by Sunder Thakur, V.P. Valecha, K.R.
Thakur, H.C. Mirchandani, V.K. Jain and Bhadada. The
Company's
object is to manufacture cement.
1994 - The Company proposed in phase I to expand the installed
capacity
by 300 TPD making annual capacity to 1,65,000 TPA. In phase
II
the company proposed to incorporate a pre calcinator to bring
its
capacity to 1050 TPD.
- The Company offered 16,46,000 No. of equity shares of Rs.10
each
at a prem. of Rs.15 per share and 10,45,000 No. of equity
shares
of Rs.10 each at a prem. of Rs.20 per share of which 3,07,000
shares (prem. Rs.10) were offered to NRIs, 3,70,000 shares
(prem.
Rs.20) were offered to Financial Institutions, 4,50,000
shares
(prem. Rs.15) were offered to the promoter, directors and
their
relatives, 20,000 shares (prem. Rs.15) were offered to
employees
and 11,76,000 shares (prem. Rs.15) were offered to public.
All
were taken up. Additional 67,900 shares were allotted to
retain
over subscription.
1995 - The overall improvement in performance was mainly due to
higher
productivity, better unit value realisation and overall cost
control measures initiated by the company.
