YEAR                       EVENTS
 1988 - The Company was Incorporated as a private limited company on
 16th
        August and was converted into public limited company on
 12.1.1994
        It was promoted by late R. Sivaswamy and Family of the
 Transworld
        group of companies.  After obtaining the requisite permission
        from the Ship Acquisition Licensing Committee in September
 1993, 
        application was made for 3 container vessels.  M.V. Orient
        Triumph was inducted by the promoters as a part of their
 equity
        participation in the project.  The ship was renamed M.V.
 Orient
        Prosperity, M.V. Orient Commerce which was taken subsequently
 
        was temporarily given on time charter to M/s. Samudera
 Indonesia.
 
      - The Company's object is to own and operate vessels.
 
 1994 - 69,89,900 shares issued, subscribed and paid-up.  128,20,100 
        No. of equity shares were then issued at a prem. of Rs.10 per
        share of which 4,08,350 shares and 74,58,750 shares were
 allotted
        to promoters, relative, associates and group companies 
        respectively.  Balance 49,53,000 shares were issued to the 
        public.
 
 1995 - Permission was obtained from D.G. Shipping for starting
 service
        between Mumbai-Colombo sector and M.V. Orient Prosperity was
        deployed in the said sector in addition to a chartered in
 vessel.
 
      - The Company entered into a strategic alliance to operate a 
        common carrier container feeder service between Mumbai/JNPT
 and
        United Arab Emirates ports.
 
      - Also order was placed for the new build with ABG Shipyard
 Ltd.
        Magdala in Gujarat State with a capacity of 925 TEUs.
 
      - The Company proposed to open a branch office in all
 transhipment
        centres such as Dubai, Colombo and Singapore for shipping
 service
        related activities.
 
      - The Company undertook to part finance the cost of acquisition
 of
        two second hand container vessels viz. Orient Commence &
 Orient
        Independence of 8755 dwt and 430 TEUs capacity each.  
 
 1996 - The Company obtained necessary permission for the acquisition
 of 
        a second hand container vessel m.v. Orient Centaurus to be
        renamed as M. Orient Patriot with a capacity of 1074 Tevs.
 
 1997 - The Company acquired m.v. Orient Vision with a carrying
 capacity
        of 349 Teus in March 1998 and was deployed on time charter.
 
 2004
 
 -Delist from Ahmedabad Stock Exchange (ASE) with effect from October
 15, 2004.
 
 2005
 
 -Delist from the Cochin Stock Exchange Ltd (CSE) with effect from
 December 23, 2004.
 
 2007
 
 -Shreyas Shipping acquires 51% stake in Haytrans.
 
 -Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd has appointed Mr. D T Joseph as an
 Additional Director (Non Executive Independent Director) of the
 Company with effect from September 10, 2007.
