SCAN ORGANICS LIMITED was incorporated on 9th  September 1988 as a
 Private Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956, in the name of
 SCAN ORGANICS PRIVATE LIMITED. The Company was subsequently converted
 into a Public Limited Company by a special resolution passed on 20th
 June, 1994 and a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued by the
 Registrar of Companies, Maharshtra, on 14th July, 1994.
 
 Scan Organics Limited (SQL) is promoted by the Sokhi Group of
 Industries, which is a twenty-five year old group in the business of
 supplying of chemical plants on a turnkey basis. Their expertise are
 in the areas of Design and Supply of Chemical Plants on turn-key,
 Chemical process know-how, consultation in the area of techno
 economic feasibility, production, Quality control.  The Sokhis are
 technocrats and have undertaken projects on turn-key basis, right
 from the drawing board to the commissioning of the plant including
 training of the personnel.
 
 The Company initiated in 1991 for setting-up a unit at Lote
 Parshuram, District Ratnagiri, MIDC Chemical Zone `D', for the
 manufacture of Reactive Dyes. The Project was appraised and financed
 by SICOM and MSFC.
 
 SOL proposes to expand its product range and go in for backward
 integration by going in for the manufacture of the vital Dye
 Intermediates, The Proposed expansion project is to come up at Lote
 Parshuram, MlDC Chemical Zone, in a neighbouring plot to the existing
 unit, Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra. The plant will be a versatile
 integrated Dyes and Dye - Intermediates manufacturing unit with a
 built-in capacity So manufacture a host of intermediates besides the
 products planned by the Company.
 
 The existing products manufactured by the Company are Reactive Dyes
 and Gamma Acid. The expansion envisages increase in capacity for the
 manufacture of the above products and add Bon Acid, Tobias Acid,
 J-Acid a NMJ Acid to its product range. These products have a very
 good demand both in the international and domestic markets.
