The Company was incorporated on 22nd February, 1974 under the
 name Vijayanagar Textiles Ltd.  The certificate of commencement
 of business was obtained on 21st March, 1974.
 
 The Company decided to enter the electronic components industry.
 The name of the company was changed to Vijayanagar Textiles &
 Electronics Ltd. and later to Kothari Electronics and Industries
 Ltd.
 
 The name of the company was changed to Kothari Electronics and
 Industries Ltd., to Saha Keil Ltd. w.e.f. from 13th February,
 1989.
 
 The Company has undertaken to set a new and large project at
 Hosur in the SIPCOT Industrial Complex for the manufacture of 50
 million peices of metallised plastic film capacitors in Box
 Configuaration and 3 million pieces of AC Poly Propylene
 Capacitors at a total cost of Rs 11.50 crores in technical
 collaboration with Arootronics SPA, Italy.
