Mahaan FOODS LIMITED (MFL)was incorporated as a Private United
 Company on 13th March, 1987 under the name and style of Himachal
 Milk Products Pvt. Ltd The name of the Company was changed to
 Mahaan FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED on and with effect from 10th May,
 1994
 
 The Company has been converted into a Public United Company
 under Section 31 of the Companies Act, 1956 on and with effect
 from 10th June, 1994, and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation
 has been issued by the Registrar of Companies, Punjab H.P and
 Chandigarh, Jalandhar, on 22nd June, 1994 for Company's new name
 and style of MAHAAN FOODS LIMITED.
 
 The Company has set up a Dairy Plant for processing of Skim Milk
 for the manufacture of Dairy Whitener, Skimmed Milk Powder,
 Whole Milk Powder, Instantised Milk Powders and other milk based
 products, at Paonta Sahib in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
 
 The company commenced commercial production from November 1,
 1989 with an installed capacity of 3600 tonnes per annum the
 project at that time was appraised and financed by HPSlDC
 Limited in association with Himachal Pradesh Financial
 corporation and State Bank of Patiala. The cost of the project
 at that time was Rs. 121.82 lakhs. The project has not suffered
 any cost/time overrun till date.

 2000 - The Delhi-based Mahaan Group, known for Ghee and Coffee
        whiteners, has launched an ad campaign for Mahaan Pickles.
