Hindustan Photo Films Manufacturing Company Limited (HPF)  is a Public
 Sector Undertaking, under the Department of Heavy Industry,
 incorporated in the year 1960, with a vision to make India self
 reliant in the field of Photo sensitised goods.    
 
 HPF is the only integrated manufacturer of Photo sensitised goods in
 the whole of South East Asia. It is the only Company with the
 technology for manufacture of Medical X-ray, Graphic Arts and Black
 and White products of international standards. 
 
 2001
 
 -The Management of HPF seeks for financial restructuring with a total
 package worth
 of Rs.1350cr.
 
 -HPF, in Udagamandalam has managed against all odds to achieve a 8.5%
 increase 
 in its turnover during the first half of the current fiscal.
 
 -Parliamentary committee asked the government to immediately begin
 the revival 
 of ailing the Hindustan Photo Films before its divestment.
 
 2002
 
 -Hindustan Photo Films has launched newer products like Digital
 Imaging Films(DIF)
 for medical diagnostic system, ink-jet papers of photographic quality
 and film for
 laser printing industry.
 
 -Board for Industrial & Financial Reconstruction has asked the HPF Co
 and its promoter, 
 the Union government to submit a  fully tied-up rehabilitation
 proposal  to ICICI.
 
 -HPF Co Ltd has defaulted in the payment of provident fund dues to
 the tune of Rs.5.3crs. 
 And has topped the list of defaulters.
 
 2003
 
 -The Board for Industrial &Financial Reconstruction has ordered for
 the closure of
 Hindustan Photofilms Mfg Co. Ltd.
