GODAVARI DRUGS LIMITED was incorporated as a private limited  company
 on December 2nd 1987 and subsequently converted into a public limited
 company on September 25th 1992.  It was promoted by Mr. Ghanshyam
 Jaju, Mr. Mukund Kakani and Mr. P.C. Shrimal.  The company has set up
 a project to manufacture 180 TPA at SULPHAMETHOXAZOLE (SMX) in 1988. 
 The 
 project is located at Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation
 (MIDC), Nanded, a notified class 'C' backward district in
 Maharashtra.  The project was fully commissioned on July 3rd 1989.
 
 MAIN OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY:
 
 The main objects at the Company as detailed in the Memorandum at
 Association of the Company are:
 
 1. To manufacture, refine, purchase, sell, prepare, import, export
 all classes and kinds of drugs including pharmaceutical preparations
 and formulations, fine organics and inorganic chemicals, raw
 materials and intermediates for drugs.
 
 2. To manufacture and/or deal in all types at drugs, chemicals,
 pharmaceuticals and intermediates on loan licence basis.  
 
 3. To undertake, promote, encourage, initiate, assist and engage in
 all kinds of research and development work and to set up laboratories
 and other facilities required for the same to render such assistance,
 monetary or otherwise, as may be required for the purpose.
