Foundry fuel products ltd., was incorporated on 9.05.1964 in the name
 and styleof M/s East Murlidih coal company pvt ltd., with the
 objective of coal mining and the company acquired a collery in
 dhanbad to carryout coal mining activities. Subsequent to
 nationalisation of coal mines in 1973, the company was engaged in
 coal trading, sand preparation for foundries and other related areas
 in 1982 the company changed its name to foundry fuel products pvt ltd
 (FFPPL) and also started hard coke manufacturing activity by acquiring
 two existing coke manufacturing units in Dhanbad. However due to the
 obsolescence of the relative plant and machinery, the company closed
 down manufacturing operations in these units in 1987. These units
 were disposed off in 1989 and the company continued with its coal
 trading activity and sand preparation on job work basis actively.
 
 The company was then converted into a public limited company under
 the name and style of foundry fuel products (FFPL) and fresh
 certificate of incorporation was obtained on 3rd July 1992.
