The Company was incorporated as Competent Automobiles Co Pvt. Ltd. in
 the Union Territory of Delhi on April 11, 1985 and later on converted
 into Deemed Public Company w.e.f. 01.07.89 u/s 43A and word PVT.
 deleted from the certificate of incorporation by the Registrar of
 Companies, Delhi & Haryana. Subsequently shareholders of the Company
 passed special resolution on 29.09.94 for deleting the restriction
 clause in the Articles u/s 3(1) (iii) of the Companies Act, 1956, and
 as such Company became full fledged Public Limited Company within the
 meaning of Section 3(1)(iv) of the Companies Act, 1956.
 
 CACL is a profit making entity engaged in business of Car Dealership
 for Maruti Udyog Limited, having been allotted dealership on 17th
 January, 1988. It also has workshops for servicing and repair of all
 vehicles sold. CACL is the number one Maruti car dealer in India with
 a total share of 7.3% of all vehicles sold by Maruti Udyog. For three 
 consecutive years 1991-92, 1992-93 & 1993-94 CACL has been first in
 the sales of cars, in the sales of spare parts and the first in
 workshop servicing for the last two years. The Company now proposes
 to set up an additional Workshop facility to cater to vehicles in the
 East, North & West Delhi sector.
 
 2000 - The Company has signed tripartite agreement with NSDL, CDSL.
 
 2002-Competent Automobiles Co Ltd has informed that Mr S S Grewal who
 held office of Director in the Company has resigned from the Board w e
 f July 28, 2002 and his resignation is accepted by the Board.
 
 2005
 - Company is opening a new work shop at Hamir Pur, Himachal Pradesh
 under the Companies Development / Expansion plans.
 
 -Company has opened a new Showroom at 21 Shivaji Marg, New Delhi
 under its Expansion Plan.
 
 2006
 
 -Competent Automobiles Company Ltd has informed that Shri Arun Kumar
 Sodhani, who held office of Director in the Company, has resigned
 from the Board, w.e.f. November 02, 2006.
 
 2007
 
 -Competent Automobiles Company Ltd has appointed Mr. Ramesh Chander
 Murada as non-executive independent director on the Board of the
 Company w.e.f. November 02, 2006.
 
 -Company had been granted new Dealership by its principal M/s. Maruti
 Udyog Ltd in the state of Haryana, and the Company is opening a new
 Showroom and Workshop in Gurgaon (Haryana).
