 public limited company in the name of Birla  Erickson (Tools ) Ltd. 
 The name of the company   was changed from Birla Erickson (Tools)
 Ltd. to Birla  Kennametal Ltd. and fresh certificate of incorporation
 consequent on the change of name was issued by Registrar of companies
 , Maharashtra  at Bombay on 1st December, 1989.  The certificate for
 commencement  of business was issued on 16th December, 1986.
