The company was incorporated on 6th December, 1941 at Bombay as a 
 Private Limited company under the name of Bhogilal Menghraj & Co. 
 The name of Bhogilal Menghraj & Co. Pvt. Ltd. in 1956 which was again
  changed to Hansa Industrial Tools Company Private Limited in 1970.
 
 The company was converted into public limited company on 19th 
 November 1982.  In the year 1983 the name of Hansa Industrial  Tools
 Company Private Limited was changed to Batliboi Engineering  Company
 limited.
 
 In June, 1984 Batliboi Engineering Company Limited was amalgamated 
 with Batliboi & Company Ltd. and consequently the name was again
 changed to Batliboi & Company Ltd. on August 16, 1984.
 
 The main object of the company is manufacturing and marketing
 egineering Machinery and Equipment and Execution of Engineering and
 Turnkey projects.
 
 The various foreign technical collaborators of the company are

 8. Daikin Industries Ltd.Japan
 
 Hydraulic & General Engineers Ltd., Batliboi International Ltd. are
 three subsidiaries of the company.
 
 The machine tool and foundry divisions have obtained the ISO 9002
 certification from RWTUV, Germany, for the manufacture of both
 conventional and CNC tools.
 
 2002-Batliboi Ltd has informed BSE that Mr J P Malik has ceased to be
 the Executive Director wef November 01, 2002 by virtue of his
 retirement from the employment of the company. The Board has inducted
 Mr L K Swami as an Additional Director of the Company wef October 31,
 2002.

 - The Company has splits its face value from Rs10/- to Rs5/-.
 
 2009
 
 - Batliboi Limited has appointed Mrs. Shalini Shrivastav as
 Compliance Officer of the Company w.e.f. May 31, 2009 in place of Mr.
 BB Vanwari.
 
 - Batliboi Limited has informed that Mr. Gaurang Shah has joined the
 company w.e.f. June 16,2009 as the Chief Corporate Counsel & Company
 Secretary. He has further been designated as the Compliance Officer
 of the Company.
